Moment Institute Middle East Fellows
In 2023, the Moment Institute hosted 10 American journalists interested in learning more about the greater Middle East region and the complexities of covering it in a new low-residency fellowship program. The program was geared specifically toward journalists who are already reporting or editing stories about the region, or who have plans to do so.
Fellows met and learned from veteran Middle East journalists, experts and analysts in person, in Washington, D.C., and through virtual meetings. The fellowship included opportunities for mentoring, brainstorming and networking. Fellows received a stipend and are invited to attend in-person meetings in Washington. Updated deadlines for the 2025 program will be posted in late 2024.
